PTFE Encapsulated Gasket
PTFE envelope gasket consists of two parts, cladding layer and insert filler. Insert filler is generally the non-metal sealing material with or without metal enhancement layer, such as asbestos rubber sheet, non-asbestos rubber sheet and graphite composite sheet board etc. PTFE envelope gasket is mainly used in flat flanges and convex section steel pipe flanges connection. According to different structures of the inner filler, there are v-shaped, u-shaped and L-shaped.
PTFE envelope gaskets are produced in several types to meet the most demanding applications: dissection cut PTFE envelope gasket /folding PTFE envelope gasket /mechanical processing PTFE envelope gasket.

Reusable PTFE Encapsulated Stainless Steel Reinforced Gasket
MVI reusable gaskets can be used in nearly all applications to seal metallic flange joints. They are far superior and cost effective compared with other designs such as envelope gaskets as they are reusable many times. Their design is extremely robust and they are very easy to install.
The MVI gasket offers superior performance than a standard virgin PTFE gasket as its inherent stainless steel core prevents cold flow of the PTFE which can lead to joint failure.
Due to the use of PTFE with its universal corrosion resistance the gasket can aid greatly with site standard being suitable for a varied range of applications across site.
Lined piping systems do not require gaskets to seal between the flange joints, the PTFE / PFA flange faces provide the seal. If the specification insists on gaskets to be fitted then PTFE envelope gaskets are recommended.
Application
Widely used in Oil chemical industries, Coal industries, paper making, weave, pharmacy, food, metallurgy industries.
